An absent but present parent is still in the home..

😓Absent parenting creates deeper anger and loneliness than parents
realize.

👉It’s because a child doesn’t feel worthy of your attention or care. They begin to attach these feelings to their own identity.

🧐A child doesn’t understand how hard or hectic life is for adults. They aren’t developmentally ready to understand how circumstances effect a person’s
decisions so they think everything is about them.

😰When you think everything is because of you the time you don’t receive attention means you aren’t lovable, interesting or smart enough to get the attention you
need.

☣️It creates adults that yearn for that love from outside sources that are more likely to take advantage of them through ways they can gain off of them.

Ignored kids become adults that:
🤬Act out to get attention when feeling ignored or rejected
🥸Intense focus on proving your worthiness to a significant other, your absent parent or strangers
🚩Looking for connection from questionable friend groups or by abusing substances.

Attention is a currency that we understand the value of when we are online and at work but we neglect it when it comes to children. Since life is so demanding on parents and the pace is so fast this is a reminder we all need sometimes. Investing in the attention we give children creates the happiness and fulfillment that these distractions can only dream of. ❤️
