Try these 5 simple, engaging, and low-prep activities this Halloween season!
1. Frozen Halloween treasures
Freeze Halloween trinkets in a muffin tin or ice cube container and let your child “rescue” the treasures.
2. Spiderweb dot stickers
Draw a spiderweb. Draw small spiders on the web (with a circle middle. Draw letters, numbers, or colors inside the circles. On dot stickers, write the same letters or numbers. Let your child match the dot stickers to the paper.
3. Candy tracing
Write out some lines (straight, curvy, zig-zag, etc.). Give your child candy pumpkins and/or candy corn and let them place the candies onto the lines to trace them.
4. Pumpkin tape balance
Place 2 pumpkins a foot or two apart. Place a piece of painters tape sticky side down going across the tops of the 2 pumpkins. Give your child little erasers or small plastic spiders and let them try to balance the erasers onto the tape.
5. Spooky water play
Add a couple of drops of black food dye into water, mix it up, and add Halloween trinkets. Let your child play with the spooky water!
